Assessments
Assessment support depends on the student’s school, grade and course. EQAO’s 2025–26 results, as reported, show 65% of Grade 3, 52% of Grade 6 and 59% of Grade 9 students meeting the provincial math standard, and 86% of first-time eligible students successful on the Grade 10 literacy test (OSSLT).
Preparation may cover classroom tests, standardized assessments, literacy or mathematics requirements, final exams, and course projects when applicable.
As reported, changes for 2026–27 include a written exam worth 20% of the final grade in Grades 9–10 and 25% in Grades 11–12, attendance and participation counting for 15% (Grades 9–10) and 10% (Grades 11–12), and EQAO results counting for 20% of the Grade 9 final math mark. Confirm details with the school.
Students who entered Grade 9 in 2025–26 or later must pass a financial literacy test in the Grade 10 career studies course (70% pass mark, two attempts, 5% of the course grade).

How tutoring works
The same clear matching process is used in every location, while the curriculum and assessment context changes for the student.
City, grade, subject, curriculum, current challenge, preferred language, and schedule.
The team identifies the relevant province or state, course pathway, and assessment needs.
Matching considers subject expertise, grade, curriculum experience, communication, language, and availability.
The family receives a suitable online time and joining details.
The tutor explains the target concept, guides practice, and observes the student’s current understanding.
The family can provide feedback while the ongoing plan, schedule, and package are coordinated.

Yes. Success Path Mentors serves students in Ontario online, with tutor matching based on grade, subject, curriculum, availability, and learning needs.
Tutor matching considers the student’s curriculum, grade, course outline, school assignments, and materials supplied by the family.
Arabic-speaking support may be available depending on the subject, grade, tutor availability, and requested schedule.
Yes. Plans may focus on current homework, upcoming tests, closing learning gaps, course recovery, or summer preparation.
Families register the student at their local school. ESL/ELD programs are available for English language learners under Ministry policy, and some boards assess newcomer high-school students’ English and math to help with course selection (for example TDSB’s Secondary Assessment Centres). Online tutoring complements, and does not replace, what the school provides.
The process runs through the school and board: an Identification, Placement and Review Committee (IPRC) may meet and an Individual Education Plan (IEP) is prepared. An online tutor can use the plan the family shares to align lessons with the student’s goals, while official decisions stay with the school and board.
Ministry direction PPM 144 requires every board to have a bullying prevention plan, reporting procedures and parent notification after serious incidents. Families usually start by reporting to the principal and then follow the board’s escalation steps; boards are opening Student and Family Support Offices in 2026–27, and the Ontario Ombudsman can review complaints about public school boards. We do not provide protection or legal advice, and tutoring does not replace the school’s process.
